Student Learning Outcomes

Student Learning Outcomes:

  1.       Safe and Effective Care Environment

Provide nursing care according to the nursing process contributing to the enhancement of the health care delivery setting.  Nurses must protect patients (through advocacy) and personnel through both system effectiveness and efficient individual performance utilizing evidenced-based practice.

 

  1.      Patient-Centered Care

Recognize the patient/designee as the source of control and in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for patient’s preferences/cultural-sensitivity, spiritual differences, values, and needs.

 

  1.      LPN Scope of Practice

Demonstrate competency within Practical Nurse scope of practice to provide safe, quality care for diverse patients in a caring environment.

 

  1.      Teamwork and Collaboration

Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care.

 

  1.      Professional Identity

Demonstrate responsibility for own personal and professional growth as a self-motivated and community-minded nurse who utilizes self-reflection and feedback from team members.
