Coaching Support Services

Literacy and math coaches assist instructors in meeting the needs of students enrolled at GCCTC. This support is provided in both small group and individual settings.

Coaches collaborate with the instructors of each program to prepare students for the written portion of NOCTI (National Occupational Competency Testing Institute):

  • Utilize NOCTI student achievement data to plan targeted review sessions
  • Develop monthly academic integration journals highlighting specific tasks and technical skills

Coaches also provide instruction/remediation for students referred from any of the five sending schools in the following areas:
  • Language Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Keystone Test Prep
  • ASVAB Test Prep
  • TEAS Test Prep
  • Test Taking
  • Study Skills
